WHO WE ARE
About Thrive Church
Vision
Our vision is driven by three principles:
Getting Rooted
We want to see many people come to saving faith in Jesus! This happens best when every member shares the incredible news of Jesus in their sphere of influence.
Growing Stronger
We want to see people grow stronger in their faith. We want to be a church that embraces the grace of Jesus and the ways of Jesus in every aspect of our lives.
Branching Out
We want to be a church that creates community, multiplies disciples, and plants churches. This idea of multiplication is embedded in every aspect of our DNA.
Mission: Multiply
We do not plant churches because there are too few churches; we plant churches because so many of our neighbors desperately need Jesus.
We are a church plant with a mission to plant church-planting churches!

Why Another Church?
Jesus said, “I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it” (Mt 16.18). Jesus builds the church and one of his primary methods is planting new churches. According to C. Peter Wagner, planting new churches is “the single most effective evangelistic methodology under heaven.”
Why Camby?
Camby’s Heartland Crossing community includes 3,000 homes in 11 connected neighborhoods. It was originally billed as “Kid City” to draw young families. The area has parks, a golf course, and swimming pools but only a few churches. We want to help these growing families find Jesus.

What We Believe
We strive for unity in essential doctrines, freedom in areas of personal preference, and love in all things.
WE BELIEVE …
… the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God and that it is eternally reliable in all matters of Christian faith and practice.
… the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his substitutionary and atoning death through his shed blood, his bodily resurrection, his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and his personal return in power and glory.
… that mankind was made in the image and likeness of God. God created man and woman to complement each other, and together, through the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, to have children, to fill the earth and subdue it.
… that salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm that repentance from sin towards God, faith in our Lord Jesus, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are necessary to salvation.
… the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved to the resurrection of life and those who are lost to eternal isolation from the living God.
… the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
… the one universal Church which is the Body of Christ. We affirm Christ as its head. We affirm all who are born-again as its members. We affirm the church’s purpose as offering worship to God, fellowship and instruction, evangelism and service to the world. We affirm the spiritual unity of believers to our Lord Jesus Christ.
… believer’s baptism by immersion in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ.
